Lab # 4: Blast by Hiu Nam (Tiger) Wong
- I searched for human muscle proteins. The reason behind is I find it interesting that many people nowadays, especially bodybuilders intake protein powders to boost muscle growth, therefore I would love to know more about the original muscle proteins found in human body.
- I selected the muscle protein from Homo sapiens, which has an accession number of CAC82104. Some intriguing facts about muscle proteins is that, since muscles accounts for almost 40% of our body weight, the number muscle proteins is the largest in all sorts of proteins, and they weigh about 5-6 kg.

Hi Tiger,
ReplyDeleteI like your explanation about how muscle proteins are important for our body. It’s interesting to know that the number of muscle proteins is the largest in all sorts of proteins. Human muscle proteins are very important in our life, but from my knowledge taking protein powders to boost muscle growth is dangerous for our bodies; that is why I am interested to know more about muscle proteins too. Nice work!!
